Online EMDR Therapy for Adults in Fort Collins

We do not have an office in Fort Collins. We offer online EMDR sessions with a formally trained, Colorado-licensed therapist, so adults across Larimer County and Northern Colorado can do this work without an hour on I-25 each way.

EMDR for Fort Collins and Northern Colorado, online

Fort Collins is about 65 miles from Denver, far enough that a weekly in-person appointment on the Front Range is a half-day commitment. Online sessions solve that. Whether you live in Old Town, Midtown, Timnath, Wellington, Loveland, or out toward the Poudre Canyon, you get the same eight-phase EMDR process over secure video, from a space you choose. Our post on whether virtual EMDR works covers the research.

High achievers, burnout, and the pressure to keep up

Fort Collins runs on Colorado State University, a growing tech and engineering sector, and a culture where everyone seems to be training for something. Graduate students, faculty, engineers, and clinicians who look fine from the outside often carry constant pressure, perfectionism, and a nagging sense of not being enough. EMDR works on the experiences underneath that pattern, not only the habits on top. See our posts on EMDR for high achievers, EMDR for burnout, and EMDR for perfectionism, or start with the anxiety therapy page.

Wildfire, flood, and the losses that linger

Larimer County has lived through the High Park fire, the 2013 floods, and the Cameron Peak fire, the largest in state history. Evacuation, a lost home, or weeks of smoke leave marks on the nervous system that can surface years later as jumpiness, sleep trouble, or dread every fire season. EMDR was built for exactly this kind of single-event and repeated trauma, and it does not require retelling the event in detail.

Depression, grief, and long Northern Colorado winters

Short days, a job change, the end of a relationship, or the loss of a person or a pet can pull the floor out. Our depression therapy and grief counseling pages explain how EMDR targets the beliefs and experiences that keep people stuck, and the post on beating the winter slump has practical tools for the season.
