From North Boulder to South Boulder, online appointments let you meet with a therapist without arranging a trip to Denver. For adults balancing work, study, or family commitments around CU Boulder, privacy and consistency matter. You will need a quiet place for the full appointment; a shared study space or a busy café is not a good substitute.
Start with our guide to online EMDR in Colorado or learn about therapy for trauma and PTSD.
You do not have to earn rest, or become better at coping before asking for help. If work, academic expectations, or comparison leave you constantly on edge, a conversation with your therapist can help distinguish current stress from the past experiences that may be adding to it.
Explore anxiety therapy →Moving to a new community, leaving a relationship, or questioning expectations can bring both possibility and grief. You are welcome to explore these experiences at your own pace, including questions about identity in an affirming environment.
Explore LGBTQ+ affirming care →Use your consultation to ask questions about fit, fees, and scheduling. You do not need to share every detail of your past.
Your therapist gets to know you and helps you prepare for the work. Together, you consider goals, coping skills, and available support.
If EMDR is appropriate, work through selected memories with guidance. Review progress and adjust the plan as your needs change.

That recommendation does not mean it is right for every concern or that online care fits every person. Your therapist will discuss options with you.
